Children's workshops at Christmas

From December 27 to January 4, the Directorate General for Consumer Affairs and Crafts is launching a new range of children's workshops so that the youngest members of the household can enjoy creating their own craft product, and thus develop their creativity during the Christmas holidays. These workshops will last an hour and a half, and cost €8. The age range of these workshops will be from 6 to 12 years.

  • Textile collage workshop “Sweet Christmas” with Vayatela SL Creation of a Christmas postcard creatively using reused fabrics. Monday 12/27 and 01/3 – 10:15 a.m. & Wednesday 12/29 – 6:45 p.m.
  • Ceramic workshop “Once upon a time… the man” with Veronica Maccorin. In this creation workshop, children will create their own handmade and personalized sculpture, having a direct experience with clay and observing its transformation, acquiring a new language related to crafts and arts. Monday 12/27 and 01/03 – 12pm & Wednesday 12/29 – 5:15pm
  • Painting workshop "Princes and princesses" with Andrea Lopez. Practical painting workshop focused on children with artistic interests, who wish to develop a personal project experiencing the learning of different techniques. Monday 12/27 and 01/03 – 5:15 p.m. & Wednesday 12/29 – 12 p.m.
  • Basketry workshop "Little Red Riding Hood" with Antonio Narvaez. In this workshop the student will learn the handling of wicker and esparto, starting from manual braiding to make a small basket. Monday 12/27 and 01/03 – 6:45 p.m. & Wednesday 12/29 – 10:15 a.m.
  • Bookbinding workshop "Superheroes" with Fernando Martinez. Creation of a notebook with images of different superheroes, learning to bind with the Japanese technique. Tuesday 12/28 and 01/4 – 10:15 a.m. & Thursday 12/30 – 6:45 p.m.
  • Creative bread workshop “Mastercheff” with Francisco Javier Moreno. Manipulative and practical workshop that allows schoolchildren to learn about the process of making bread in an artisanal way, working with the materials that compose it (flour, sugar, eggs, chocolate), developing the sense of taste, smell, manual dexterity, motor skills and creativity, giving shapes to the dough, to create your bun with different shapes and observing how the ingredients are transformed through its preparation.   • Puppet workshop "Puppeteers" with Sergio Ross. Making a puppet using different recycled materials. Tuesday 12/28 and 01/4 – 5:15 p.m. & Thursday 12/30.
  • Leather goods workshop “Asterix and Obelix” with Angel Luis Molina. Plastic creation activity, in which it is intended that students come into contact with this noble material such as leather, and experience the sensation of dealing with manual tools for embossing, and create a bracelet with their hands and their imagination. Tuesday 12/28 and 01/04 – 6:45 p.m. & Thursday 12/30 – 10:15 a.m.
