The Fair Institution of Lorca, Ifelor, will host from September 21 to 24 the 39th edition of the Official Crafts Fair of the Region of Murcia-Feramur 2023, where a hundred artisans from all over Spain will meet to disseminate the quality of craftsmanship and news from the sector.

The fair, in addition to the commercial space and direct sale of artisan products, will have areas for demonstrations and workshops, as well as parades and tastings, as highlighted today by the general director of Consumption and Crafts, Sonia Moreno, in the presentation of the program of this edition, an event in which the mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, and representatives of Feramur were also present.

This artisan meeting will feature the participation of exhibitors from mainly the Region of Murcia and also from the rest of Spain, such as Alicante, Lugo, Almería, Cáceres, Cantabria, Ciudad Real, Gerona, Granada, Málaga, Palencia, Salamanca and Seville.

Among the main craft activities of Feramur 2023 are pottery, ceramics, embroidery, miniatures, costume jewelry and natural cosmetics. In addition, there will be food artisans, such as beekeepers, brewers, pork butchers, butchers, confectioners, canners, pastry chefs, cheese makers and winemakers.

The program has a wide range of activities aimed at the general public and the artisans themselves. Among them, the presentation of the II Design+Craft+Innovation Conference stands out, which will take place in Murcia on September 28, as well as a fashion show with designs by students from the IES Bartolomé Pérez Casas, and another of popular clothing.

During the four days of the fair, various live demonstrations will be held continuously, such as bobbin lace, Roman mosaic making, glass carving and engraving, and candle making. Likewise, the visitor will be able to participate in a daily raffle for a batch of artisan products.

In this environment, it is also planned to create a mural in which Feramur attendees will be able to participate and which will be in charge of the ceramist Martín Lario and the illustrator Eloy González.

On the other hand, regional artisans have the possibility of learning about the business opportunities offered by the French market through the technicians of the International Promotion Office of the Development Institute (Info). Another training action that will be carried out during the fair is to publicize the tools that make it possible to promote and sell the artisan product through the social network Instagram.

The fair hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
