The Murcia Regional Crafts Center receives the first Sicted prize for the most competitive tourist service

The Murcia Regional Center for Crafts won first prize in the XIII Edition of the Comprehensive System of Spanish Tourist Quality in Destinations (Sicted) Awards, in the category of most competitive tourist service. On January 20, the Minister of Business, Social Economy and the Self-Employed, Valle Miguélez, received the award given by the Secretary of State for Tourism, together with the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), within the framework of the Fair International Tourism Fitur.

Miguélez highlighted that "this award recognizes the quality of the tourist service offered to visitors by the Murcia Regional Crafts Center, the continuous improvement of its services, training, good tourist practices, the commitment to promoting local artisans and its products, good management and commitment to improving sustainability”.

Sicted's purpose is the integral and permanent management of quality in a tourist destination.

The Craft Center, managed by the General Directorate for Consumption and Crafts, has been part of the Sicted program since 2006. As a quality place, every year it carries out a detailed analysis of its activity and sets goals to improve itself the following year. In addition, it was a pioneer in participating in the pilot project of remote Sicted evaluations and obtained the Covid 2020 Good Practices Certificate.
