Craft Centers in the Region of Murcia

Our centers

The Craft Centers of the Region of Murcia are public establishments located in central premises of the main cities of the Region of Murcia for the exhibition and sale of products made by craftsmen registered in the Artisan Registry of the Region of Murcia. In order to promote and spread the Crafts of the Region of Murcia.

The Regional Craft Centers have temporary exhibition halls where the craftsmen of the Region of Murcia show their latest developments. They also have classrooms where workshops and craft courses are taught by the craftsmen.

Since 2006 they have been integrated into the SICTED project for Tourism Quality in Destinations, with the Good Tourism Practices implemented and renewed annually.

Murcia Craft Center

It is located on Calle Actor Francisco Rabal, in front of the central Jardín del Salitre (also called “De la Pólvora”), very close to the Palacio de San Esteban and the shopping area of Gran Vía and Avenida de la Constitución.

It was inaugurated in 1992 under the architectural project of Juan Antonio Molina Serrano and presents the uniqueness of its cube shape, highlighting its sobriety on the outside, being very varied inside. With an exhibition of more than 2,000m2.

Cartagena Craft Center

It is located on Calle Honda, very close to Calle Mayor, which is one of the main commercial and tourist arteries of the city; In its vicinity we find the well-known Plaza de los Tres Reyes, the Monte de Molinete and the Glorieta de San Francisco.

The building occupies part of the ground floor of the Palacio de la Viuda de Molina, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, and dates from the end of the 18th and beginning of the 19th centuries.

Lorca Craft Center

The Lorca Craft Center is located in a building designed by the architect Juan Antonio Molina Serrano, located between the Palace of Guevara and the Church of San Mateo.

It has been distinguished with a Special Mention in the category of buildings for residential use of the Award for Quality in Building in the Region of Murcia 2010. As a singularity, it should be noted that it was the first Craft Center at a national level.

La actividad de los Centros Regionales de Artesanía se realiza a través del Contrato de Servicios firmado por la empresa AKA Estudio Creativo S.L. con CIF B-73684334, con la Comunidad Autónoma de la Región de Murcia, actualmente con la Consejería de Economía, Hacienda y Empresa, para la Promoción Comercial de Productos Artesanos en los Centros Regionales de Artesanía de Murcia, Cartagena y Lorca, desde el 2 de julio de 2024 al 2 de julio de 2026 con la empresa. Empresa encargada de la venta online, a través del presente portal, de los productos artesanos existentes en el Centro Regional de Artesanía de Murcia.
