The artisans of the Region claim their trades live in 'La Mar de Creaciones'

Up to fifteen exhibitors could be seen in 'The Sea of Creations', an event that took place on the occasion of the closing of the The Sea of Music Festival. The artisans of the Region claimed, in this way, their trades, with live demonstrations of their work.

Thus, the visitors who attended this activity in Plaza Castellini street were able to see the glass blowing by the hand of John Charles Calabria, the forge thanks to the artisan company Locksmith Alonso, leather goods from the hand of Ana Perez Martinez and jewelry in polymer clay work of Monica Andrea Laura Cosma.

Another attraction of this exhibition was the intervention of the urban artist Mario, who reproduced one of his works live, with the presence of other plastic artists, and street musicians who gave life and joy to this creative event.

This initiative has been the result of the collaboration of the organizers of The Ant Hippie Market and the General Directorate of Consumption and Crafts and the Department of Culture of Cartagena.

Bring crafts to the street

With these artisan events, the general director of Consumption and Crafts, Sonya Moreno, explained the importance of bringing the crafts of the Region of Murcia to the streets and that the public knows first-hand the artisan trades, since at this time and after the covid-19 crisis, regional artisans need to market their product in areas with a high influx of people, such as the city of Cartagena during the celebration of the festival.
