El Centro Regional de Artesanía de Murcia acoge desde hoy la exposición ‘Caravaca Año Jubilar 2024’, que reúne una selección de piezas elaboradas por artesanos de la Región de Murcia inspiradas en este acontecimiento cultural y religioso. Entre las obras expuestas, destaca un Caballo del Vino, símbolo de las fiestas de Caravaca de la Cruz, realizado por las bordadoras artesanas del municipio, gracias a la colaboración con la Federación Bando de los Caballos del Vino.
La exposición fue inaugurada esta tarde por el director general de Impulso al Comercio, Innovación Empresarial, Industrias y Oficios Artesanales, Rafael Gómez, y por el alcalde de Caravaca de la Cruz, José Francisco García. Durante el acto, las bordadoras estuvieron trabajando en directo. Además, el ilustrador Pedro Hurtado, de Pahu Ediciones, autor de las credenciales de los peregrinos de Caravaca de la Cruz, dibujó en directo una ilustración relacionada con el Año Jubilar.
Además, se muestran coronas y cascos de los personajes de Moros y Cristianos, elaborados por el taller Lacedemon; así como Cruces de Caravaca en vidrio fundido de la maestra artesana Carmen Martínez Azorín.
La muestra se completa con una selección de productos de alimentación como, por ejemplo, la mermelada del ‘Peregrino’ y las yemas o los alfajores de Caravaca de la Cruz.
Esta iniciativa forma parte del programa de actividades de los Centros Regionales de Artesanía para conmemorar el Año Jubilar Caravaca 2024, que tiene como objetivo “promocionar el municipio y su patrimonio cultural, así como poner en valor el trabajo de los artesanos de la Región de Murcia”, según destacó Rafael Gómez. Además, el Centro Regional de Artesanía de Murcia es punto de sellado del Camino de Caravaca de la Cruz.
