CHILDREN'S WORKSHOPS OF ARTISAN TRADES- 1 TO 6 SEPTEMBER
The General Directorate of Consumption and Crafts has decided to relaunch a new proposal for children's craft workshops for children called "Great Murcian craftsmen teach small craftsmen", these workshops will be accompanied by a guided tour at the Murcia Regional Craft Center. Given the success they have had during the months of July and August.
These workshops will be held from Wednesday, September 1 to Monday, September 6, and are as follows:
Painting workshop taught by the versatile artist, Andrea Lopardo. Practical painting workshop focused on children with artistic interests, who wish to develop a personal project experiencing the learning of different techniques.
pottery workshop taught by the versatile craftswoman Verónica Maccorin, specialized in training. In this creation workshop, children will create their own handmade and personalized sculpture, having a direct experience with clay and observing its transformation, acquiring a new language related to crafts and arts,
Creative bread workshop, taught by Francisco Javier Moreno García, artisan baker. It is a manipulative and practical workshop that allows schoolchildren to learn about the process of making bread in an artisanal way, working with the materials that compose it (flour, sugar, eggs, chocolate), developing the sense of taste, smell, dexterity manual, motor skills and creativity, giving shapes to the dough, to create your bun with different shapes and observing how the ingredients are transformed through its preparation.

Plastic creation activity, in which it is intended that schoolchildren come into contact with this noble material such as leather, and experience the sensation of dealing with manual tools for embossing, to configure a bracelet with their hands and their imagination.
Bindery, taught by the craftsman Arcadio Hernández Campillo, in which the schoolchildren will work on binding techniques, working with the necessary tools to be able to make their own notebook.
The cost of each workshop will be €8 per child, the age range will be from 5 to 12 years, and the hours are as follows:

The schedule of the Crafts Centers of the Region of Murcia, is from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. And closed Sundays.

Children's workshops "Great Murcian artisans teach small artisans" during the month of July at the Murcia Regional Craft Center
During the month of July, the General Directorate of Consumption and Crafts, launches a new proposal for children's workshops for children during the summer period called "Great Murcian artisans teach small artisans".
The hours are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., specifically the workshops will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the guided tour will take place from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
The maximum capacity allowed per activity is 10 students.
The cost of each workshop will be €8 per child and the age range will be from 6 to 12 years.
For all activities it is recommended to use babi so that they do not dirty their clothes. It is essential to wear a mask, take temperature at the entrance and a safety distance.

- PAINTING WORKSHOP (Monday)
Teaches: Andrea Lopard.
Practical painting workshop focused on children with artistic interests, who wish to develop a personal project experiencing the learning of different techniques. The main objective of the workshop is to pretend that the student is the protagonist of his own work, which, in turn, is transformed into a free personal projection of his own emotions, which he will be able to express from the basic notions of painting following his creativity. .
Goals:
- Develop creativity and sensory perception through painting.
- Learn organization skills and task planning promoting socialization.
- Learn and develop the tools and techniques necessary to understand the characteristics of painting.
- Analyze and experiment with general aspects of visual language (focused on their own interests) such as elements of composition, importance of color, expression, figuration-abstraction, brushwork...
- CREATIVE BREAD WORKSHOP (Tuesday)
Teaches: Francisco Javier Moreno García, artisan baker.
Collaborate: Fornet, SL
Manipulative and practical workshop that allows schoolchildren to learn about the process of making bread in an artisanal way, working with the materials that compose it (flour, sugar, eggs, chocolate), developing the sense of taste, smell, manual dexterity, motor skills and creativity, giving shapes to the dough, to create your bun with different shapes and observing how the ingredients are transformed through its preparation.
Goals:
- Assess the importance of food hygiene habits and promote health education.
- Develop creativity and sensory perception through cooking.
- Discover the benefits of a healthy and balanced diet.
- Learn organization skills and task planning promoting socialization.
- LEATHER GOODS WORKSHOP (Wednesday)
Teaches: Ángel Luis Molina Guillén, saddler craftsman
Plastic creation activity, in which it is intended that schoolchildren come into contact with this noble material such as leather, and experience the sensation of dealing with manual tools for embossing, to configure a bracelet with their hands and their imagination.
Goals:
- Recognize the artisan trades of our municipality.
- Develop manual dexterity through embossing leather.
- To bring schoolchildren closer to the trade of crafts.
- Carry out an artisan work, making your own bracelet.
- BASKET WEAVING WORKSHOP (Thursday)
Teaches: Antonio Narvaez Guerrero.
In this workshop the student will learn the handling of wicker and esparto grass. The teacher will teach them to shape a rounded shape starting from the manual braiding of the different natural fibers that they use to make a small basket. The workshop works on imagination, psychomotricity.
Goals:
- Recognize the artisan trades of our municipality, specifically the esparto grass.
- Develop manual dexterity by making a wicker or esparto basket.
- Raise awareness of the use of natural fibers for the realization of objects.
- To bring schoolchildren closer to the trade of crafts.
- Carry out craft work, making your own basket.
- CERAMICS WORKSHOP (Friday)
Teaches: Verónica Maccorín, artisan registered as potter-ceramist and sculptor.
Plastic creation workshop where schoolchildren will create their own handmade and personalized sculpture, having a direct experience with clay and observing its transformation, acquiring a new language related to crafts and arts, recognizing the forms, their technical and aesthetic characteristics.
Objectives
- Offer a basic learning of the use of clay as a raw material, manipulating and using tools typical of the potter's trade.
- Have the opportunity to experience clay as a natural and changing material.
- Recognize the crafts of our municipality and its historical importance.
- Learn about the process for making ceramic containers: extraction, cleaning, kneading, conservation and firing of the pieces.
