On May 14, 2022, the extract of the Order of the Ministry of Business, Employment, Universities and Spokesperson for which the Regional Crafts Awards of the Region of Murcia are announced for the year 2022 for 8 categories and with an economic endowment of 12,000 euros.

The Regional Crafts Awards are aimed at institutionally recognizing the most outstanding performances in crafts during this year 2022, with the aim of promoting the development and competitiveness of the self-employed and craft companies that are committed to innovation and design.

The "Regional Craft Award”, recognizes the professional trajectory and the consolidated career of the craftsman, and is awarded with an economic endowment of 3,000 euros.

The “Artisan Product Award”, recognizes artisan collections made and marketed in the last two years. It has a financial endowment of 1,500 euros.

The “Artisan Entrepreneurship Award”, recognizes those artisans with less than five years of experience who have introduced new concepts of design and innovation in crafts. It is endowed with 1,500 euros.

The “Promociona Craft Award for public entities”, recognizes those entities or public bodies that present programs or campaigns to promote Crafts. It has no financial endowment.

The Promociona Craft Award for private entities”, recognizes those campaigns to promote crafts, It has an economic endowment of 1.50 euros

The “Bethlehem Artisan Award”, for those nativity scene collections made in the last two years, with an economic endowment of 1,500 euros.

The “Food Craft Award”, where competitiveness and the final product prevail, endowed with 1,500 euros.

Finally the "New Artisan Talents Award”, is focused on students who study at any School or University in the Region of Murcia related to crafts. It has a financial endowment of 1,500 euros.

The deadline for submitting applications will be one month from the publication in the BORM, the applications will be accompanied by representative panels or products, and will be evaluated by a Committee, which will carry out a pre-selection. The selected candidates will participate in a temporary exhibition that will be located in the Regional Craft Center of Murcia, so that citizens can vote for their favorites.

The Jury of the Awards, made up of people of recognized prestige, linked to the administration, the business and/or academic sphere and who are linked to crafts; will choose by vote, the piece or collection proposed for each Award.

The awarding of the prizes will take place in a single public act endowed with the importance, solemnity and adequate publicity. The winners may advertise their status on letterheads, advertisements and reports.
