PRIZE CANDIDATES PROMOTES PRIVATE ENTITIES:

A. TABINF, SL, FOR ITS TELEVISION PROGRAM “ORO MOLÍO”

Program presented by Alfonso de la Cruz in which every week we discover new aspects of the towns and districts of the Region of Murcia, especially through its people, who show the most natural facet of their trades, customs, traditions and gastronomy.

In "Oro Molio" he considers that the true enhancement of craftsmanship, located in its own natural and favorable environment, is achieved precisely by giving it visibility. And that is what they have been doing for more than a year and a half. For something to be loved and appreciated, the first thing is to make it known. For this reason, we decided to make ourselves present in the workshops of our artisans, touring all the regions of the Murcian geography, without exception, to show the full authenticity of the cause-effect relationship, that is, the production process and the final result of the product.

This program is one of the most watched programs of all those who make up the grid of Autonomous Television 7 Region of Murcia. And to this are added the testimonies of the artisans themselves, who firmly affirm that "there has been a before and after" of their appearances in said space, given the consequences that you have experienced in your own flesh, through social recognition and a notable increase in sales, contributing to the dissemination of Crafts in the Region of Murcia.

B. RURAL MUR

It is a non-profit association, registered in the Artisan Registry of the Region of Murcia in the Crafts Services Section that is dedicated to promoting Tourism, Crafts and Commerce in the Region of Murcia.

This association manages the web portal Ruralmur.com as a showcase for regional crafts and has 56 registered artisans who exhibit their products for free, making it easier for visitors to get to know our Murcian products.

Its purposes are the defense of the interests of the associates in their professional activity, their promotion, support and promotion and representation before various entities, both public and private.

Annually they celebrate the Ruralmur Awards, where different entities, groups and most outstanding personalities of the Region of Murcia are recognized. These awards, which are now in their seventh edition, award prizes in 12 categories, including 2 craftsmanship. They also hold workshops on crafts and rural development to publicize the craft sector in the rural world and its impact on the regional economy.

C. “OPTIMAL QUALITY GOLD PARAPARAJOTE” BY GUILLERMO SÁNCHEZ RUBIO

Guillermo Sánchez Rubio is an artisan jeweler registered in the Artisan Registry of the Region of Murcia since 2016. The subject of jewelery comes from tradition, since his father was already a jeweler. He studied Gemology and collaborated at the Gemological Institute of Madrid. Later in the year 2000 he went to Malaga, where he worked for Cartier, Rolex, Bvlgari and Damiani, learning jewelry techniques. Later he came to Murcia where he opened his own store.

This craftsman has created the “golden paparajo”, which was the 2016 Product of the Year Award, and it is a unique piece of jewelry, which is based on the lemon tree leaf, resulting in unique pieces, with infinite possibilities of adaptation in earrings, necklaces, bracelets, cufflinks, chokers, rings, etc.

This product has served to carry the artisan and gastronomic tradition of the Region of Murcia in collaboration with the Federation of Peñas Huertanas and has been given to numerous personalities, such as the actress Pepa Aniorte, the presenter Encarna Talavera, the former president of the Congress Ms. Ana Pastor Julian, etc. It has also organized the Murcia Region Paparajotes Contest.

This year "El Paparajote de Oro" has arrived at Masterchef within the performances carried out by the gastronomic capital, a special program was held in the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga, in this Samantha Vallejo-Nagera wore the earrings during the program and mentioned "Do you see these earrings? They are golden paparajotes, I want optimal quality”, these images were seen by 4 million people, achieving a 20.2 % from Share.

D. “ESPARTO DE CIEZA MUSEUM” OF CLUB ATALAYA-ATENEO DE LA VILLA DE CIEZA

This museum shows the last vestiges of the culture of esparto, collecting the most significant part of this piece of our collective history, small and primitive work tools, but embossed with prints of working hands. In Cieza, the most distinctive and perennial sign of identity has been the esparto grass. This poor and austere plant has always contributed to the humble economic development of families and would later be a key piece in the forging of contemporary Ciezanism in the first half of the 20th century. This museum offers an elementary tour of the main processes of the primitive craftsmanship and manual industry of esparto grass in Cieza (starting in the mountains, drying on the lines, cooked on the rafts, chopped in the hammers, raking, spinning on the wheels, of cords, braids and scourers), with a sample of the different utensils and tools used in the various jobs, as well as esparto manufactured products and their corresponding printed and photographic documentation.

The museum is the result of a popular initiative, coordinated by the Club Atalaya-Ateneo de la Villa de Cieza, with the contribution of neighbors who have selflessly donated belongings and instruments, and the collaboration of the City Council.

AWARD CANDIDATE PROMOTES PUBLIC PRIVATE ENTITIES

A. “CREATION OF THE PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION TCP696-2 ARTISAN EMBROIDERY OPERATIONS” BY IES BARTOLOMÉ PÉREZ CASAS

Since time immemorial, Lorca embroiderers have been demanding the need for recognition of their profession through an official degree, a fact that led the IES Bartolomé Pérez Casas in 2014, at the initiative of Professor David Torres de Alcázar, to request the ICUAM, Institute of Qualifications of the Region of Murcia, which would urge the Government of Spain to create the Professional Embroidery qualification that would allow the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism to be granted to embroiderers who accredit a series of requirements and who, if necessary, passed the appropriate official test .

The General Directorate of Vocational Training of the Ministry of Education of the CARM, through ICUAM, carried out the application procedures in 2018. The status of this request has been discussed in the Hon. Lorca City Council, in the Regional Assembly and even in the Senate of the Kingdom of Spain, officially accrediting the work of the embroiderers.

In 2018 the art of silk and gold embroidery was recognized by the State Public Employment Service as a Training Specialty within the Family of Arts and Crafts, which represents another step in its consolidation as a trade.

On August 11, 2020, the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training definitively approved the Professional Qualification of Embroidery Operations TCP696-2 level 2, which allows de facto with its recognition the achievement of a title comparable to a professional training degree of medium grade.
