1. Objective.

The purpose of this regional nativity scene contest is to encourage and promote the assembly of the nativity scene for Christmas in the Region of Murcia for the year 2020 due to the COVID19 pandemic.

The organization of the event will be entrusted to the Asociación International Network Belencribs de Murcia, which must comply with the following bases.

2.- Bases and financial endowment of the winners.

This regional nativity scene contest is organized in a single category:

– Family Nativity Scenes, three trophies will be awarded, first, second and third classified, and diplomas to all the participants.

3.- Requirements of the participants.

All participants must be domiciled in the Region of Murcia. It will be appreciated that

4.- Assessment criteria.

The evaluation criteria that the Technical Selection Committee and the Jury will follow will be the following, each criterion will be valued from 0 to 10 points. Total 100 points.

  1. Use of figures and accessories from the nativity scene of artisans from the Region of Murcia.
  2. The representation of mysteries with representative characteristics of the municipalities of the Region of Murcia.
  3. The use of technologies for displaying or promoting the Bethlehem.
  4. The number of the figures and accessories of the Bethlehem in each of the mysteries.
  5. The quality of the figures and accessories of the Bethlehem in each of the mysteries.
  6. The animation and presentation of the Nativity scene.
  7. The realization of the nativity scene in family, participation of children, parents, grandparents. Complying with the health conditions imposed by the pandemic.
  8. The staging, perspective and lighting.
  9. The use of recycled and reused materials.
  10. The reproduction of the environment, of the environment that surrounded the birth and childhood of Jesus, related to the time (stony and rugged terrain, rivers, lakes, vegetation and fauna characteristic of Palestine...). The characters will be taken into account in terms of their clothing.

5.- Application and filing date.

The format of the application will be established by the entity selected to organize the event, Asociación BelenCribs International Network de Murcia. The application submission date will be until December 17, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.

6.- Place of presentation and documentation to present.

Description of the nativity scene, explaining who has participated in the assembly, materials used, etc. And how many comments you want to highlight.

7.- Technical Selection Committee.

The entity selected for the organization of the contest will be in charge of assessing the submitted applications and will select a maximum of 10 candidates. Which will be submitted to the General Directorate of Consumption and Crafts, on December 22, 2020, where the candidates submitted will be assessed and the winners will be selected.

7.- Jury of the Awards.

There will be a single jury for all the awards, appointed by the General Directorate responsible for crafts, among people of recognized prestige, linked to the Administration, the business and/or academic field and who are linked to crafts and the assembly of nativity scenes. .

Based on the documentation presented, the jury will assess the candidates. In case of a tie, the vote of the president will decide.

The jury may declare the award void if it considers that the submitted applications do not have sufficient merit. The jury's decision will be secret, and its members undertake not to reveal any information about the winners until the Awards ceremony is held.

10.- Award ceremony.

The award ceremony will take place in a single public act, convened for this purpose and which will be given the appropriate importance, solemnity and publicity.
