The awards are organized by the Ministry of Business, Industry and Spokesperson, through the General Directorate of Consumption and Crafts. The call has already been published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM) and those interested can submit their application until October 5.

The first of the eight categories is the Regional Craft Award, endowed with 3,000 euros, and which recognizes the whole of a work and a consolidated career. In the case of the Artisan Product Award (1,500 euros), those products or artisan collections made and marketed in the two years prior to the call are valued.

The Artisan Entrepreneurship Award (1,500 euros) distinguishes the entrepreneur who has stood out for introducing new concepts in the sector, in areas such as product, distribution, marketing or design.

For its part, both the Prize for the Promotion of Crafts for private entities (1,500 euros) and the one corresponding to public entities (without endowment) recognize the best programs, campaigns or initiatives to promote this activity.

The categories Belén Artesano, Food Crafts and New Talents also have an endowment of 1,500 euros each.

The general director of Consumption and Crafts, Carolina Espinosa, stressed that these awards "are intended to honor the work of artisans, for their creativity and social responsibility, in addition to becoming the benchmark event in the sector. In addition, these professionals are increasingly committed to innovation, creating jobs and adapting to the situation generated by the health crisis.
