The 37th edition of the Murcia Region Christmas Craft Show is organized by Crea Asociación Artesana in collaboration with the Ministry of Business, Employment, Universities and Spokesperson, through the General Directorate of Consumption and Crafts and the City Council of Murcia. Murcia, which will be held, as in previous years, on the Paseo de Alfonso X el Sabio in the city of Murcia.
The inauguration will take place next Saturday, December 4 at 12 noon. This year the image of the sample has been renewed.
The opening days of the exhibition will be from December 4, 2021 to January 5, 2022, with hours from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the mornings and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the afternoons, on December 24 and 31 until 3 p.m., and will remain closed on December 25 and January 1.
This year 78 stands participate, of which 76 are artisans, an NGO and the institutional stand that will be located in the central part of the Exhibition, at the intersection between Alfonso X el Sabio and Jaime I streets.
Of the 76 artisans participating this year, 73 are regional artisans, two artisans from Albacete and one from Valencia.
The artisan trades present this year at the Regional Christmas Craft Show are: potter-ceramist, beekeeper, traditional clay nativity scene maker and nativity scene accessories, jeweler, embroiderer, brewer, confectioner, paper and cardboard maker, fruit preserves maker and vegetables, bookbinder, saddler, jeweller, toy maker, leather maker, marzipan maker, artistic metalworker, figure moulder, dollmaker, baker, confectioner, silversmith, painter-draughtsman, cheesemaker, tailor of regional costumes, stone carver, glassmaker, winemaker and shoemaker .
The municipalities of the Region of Murcia represented by their artisans are Abarán, Águilas, Bullas, Caravaca de la Cruz, Cartagena, Cehegín, Ceutí, Jumilla, Las Torres de Cotillas, Lorca, Molina de Segura, Moratalla, Mula, Murcia, Puerto Lumbreras and Yecla.
The institutional stand will be a dynamic space, where the visitor will be able to request information, contemplate different temporary exhibitions of craftsmen from the region of Murcia, participatory craft workshops, presentation of new craft products, as well as live demonstrations, the programming of the Sample can also be consulted on the website www.murciaartesana.carm.es, as well as in the RRSS of Craft Region of Murcia @rmurciaartesana.
